By accessing or using RetroReverse ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
RetroReverse is a web application that integrates with Spotify to provide:
  • Creation of playlists limited to 90 minutes (mimicking cassette tape format)
  • A maximum of 4 personal mixtapes per user
  • Ability to share mixtapes with friends via unique share links
  • Ability to receive and claim shared mixtapes from others
To use RetroReverse, you must:
  • Have an active Spotify account (Free or Premium)
  • Comply with Spotify's Terms of Service
  • Grant RetroReverse the necessary permissions to manage your playlists

RetroReverse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify.

4.1 Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Spotify account. RetroReverse is not liable for any unauthorized access to your Spotify account.
4.2 Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
  • Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Share content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
4.3 Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for the playlists you create and share. RetroReverse does not pre-screen, monitor, or control the content of playlists.
5.1 Technical limitations
  • Maximum 4 personal mixtapes per user (shared mixtapes don't count toward this limit)
  • 90-minute maximum duration per mixtape
  • Share links expire after 7 days
  • Share links can only be claimed once
5.2 Service availability
We strive to keep RetroReverse available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to technical issues.
5.3 Spotify API dependency
RetroReverse relies on Spotify's Web API. If Spotify changes or discontinues their API, RetroReverse functionality may be affected or discontinued.
6.1 Service ownership
RetroReverse and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the service operator and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 User content
Your playlists remain your property. By using the sharing feature, you grant us a limited license to store and display share metadata for the purpose of enabling the sharing functionality.
6.3 Spotify content
All music content, artist information, and track metadata are owned by Spotify and respective rights holders. RetroReverse does not host, store, or distribute any audio content.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RETROREVERSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
  • Actions or content of third parties (including Spotify)
9.1 Your right to terminate
You may stop using the Service at any time and revoke access via Spotify Account Settings.
9.2 Our right to terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
9.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Playlists created via RetroReverse will remain in your Spotify account unless you manually delete them.
10.1 Service changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice.
10.2 Terms changes
We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date indicates when the Terms were last changed. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [YOUR_JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
